Interim Leadership

When something important isn’t working.

I step into organizations facing a leadership gap, stalled growth, disconnected efforts, or an important initiative that needs experienced ownership now.

When interim leadership is the right move

I am not brought in simply to generate more ideas.

I am brought in when leadership knows something is not working and needs an experienced operator who can determine why, build the solution, and lead it through execution. The work cannot wait simply because the permanent structure is uncertain.

01

Leadership gap

A marketing, development, or business development leader has departed and the work still needs direction.

02

Stalled growth

Marketing activity is not producing clear momentum, revenue, relationships, or measurable direction.

03

Misalignment

Leadership, sales, marketing, agencies, or partners are working hard—but not toward the same objective.

04

Initiative at risk

An event, partnership, fundraising effort, or growth initiative is losing momentum and needs an accountable owner.

What I do when I enter

I listen, assess the business need, and identify what is slowing the organization down. Then I establish priorities, build a practical plan, align the right people, and lead the work into execution. The assignment ends with clear documentation, stronger systems, and a team prepared to continue the work.

A focused assignment—not a permanent commitment

A 3–12 month interim or fractional engagement gives the organization senior-level leadership at the moment it is needed, while preserving the freedom to make the right long-term decision later. We define the required result, the authority needed to achieve it, the people involved, and a realistic assignment horizon before the work begins.

What Does Interim Mean?

01

Interim

An experienced leader who steps into a defined leadership role for a limited period—often during a vacancy, transition, or urgent business need—and is accountable for leading the work and delivering results.

02

Fractional

A senior leader who works with an organization on a part-time or shared basis, providing ongoing leadership and expertise without the cost or commitment of a full-time executive.

03

Consulting

An outside expert engaged to assess a problem, provide specialized guidance, or develop a solution. A consultant may advise the organization without stepping into a formal leadership role.

04

Temporary

A professional hired for a limited time to provide additional capacity, cover an absence, or complete assigned work. The focus is typically continuity and support rather than organizational leadership.
