About Cathren
A natural business problem-solver in marketing, business development, and the work that connects them.
Marketing does not operate in a department by itself. It touches the offer, the audience, the message, the relationships, the revenue model, and the experience an organization delivers.

Perspective
I have spent my career helping organizations understand what they are really selling, why it matters, and how to bring it to market.
My background spans marketing communications, business development, executive conferences, trade shows, strategic partnerships, revenue growth, fundraising, and organizational change. I have worked inside companies, alongside founders and executives, and through my own consulting firm—often in moments when the path forward was not yet clear.
I see marketing as a business discipline.
A campaign cannot repair an unclear offer. More activity cannot solve misalignment. And a strong message means little if the organization cannot deliver on it. I look at the complete picture: market, positioning, audience, operations, relationships, sales, and execution.
I listen before I prescribe.
Good interim leadership begins with understanding. I ask questions, observe how work actually moves, and separate the immediate noise from the larger business need. Then I build a plan people can understand and use.
Strategy is only valuable when it becomes work.
I am comfortable moving between the executive conversation and hands-on execution. That may mean clarifying a growth plan, developing a partnership strategy, producing an event, shaping executive communications, strengthening a sales process, or coordinating the people responsible for delivery.
Leadership with a defined purpose.
My focus is interim and fractional director-level assignments. What matters most is a meaningful objective, trust in experienced judgment, and the opportunity to enter quickly, create clarity, and produce progress.
